Is there really a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan is free forever with no time limit and no credit card required. You get full access to core features for up to 10 students, including up to 20 instructor emails per day.
How do email limits work?
On the Free plan, instructor emails are limited to 20 per day. On paid plans, emails are unlimited under normal use and subject to the Fair Use Policy. Automated reminders and transactional emails do not count toward that limit.
What's included in the annual plan discount?
Paying annually gives you about 2 months free — Pro is $100/year instead of $120, and Team is $150/year instead of $180. Monthly-to-annual changes take effect immediately; annual-to-monthly changes take effect on your next renewal date.
Is AI included in the paid plans?
Every base plan includes 10 AI actions per instructor each month. AI Assistant raises the allowance to 300 actions for $5/month or $50/year per selected instructor. A Team owner chooses exactly which instructors receive it. Actions do not roll over, and there are no overage charges.
What counts as an AI action?
Most AI drafts, recaps, summaries, and reports use 1 action. A student import preview uses 5 actions because it processes substantially more information.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, change billing intervals, or choose who gets AI Assistant from account settings. Plan downgrades, annual-to-monthly changes, and cancellations take effect on your next renewal date. AI instructor changes take effect immediately and Stripe applies the related charge or credit.
How are student payments handled?
LessonSync does not currently process student payments. Students pay instructors directly through a configured method such as Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, bank transfer, cash, or another payment link. Instructors then record the payment in LessonSync to update the student's balance. Integrated student payment processing is being considered for a future release.
What counts as an additional instructor on Team?
Each instructor needs their own account. Team includes 2 instructors. Each additional instructor is $5/month or $50/year, matching the Team billing interval.
